Informed Consent

For informed consent to occur, there must be a shared decision-making process between the psychologist and the person with whom the psychologist is engaged in a professional relationship (whether patient, client, or research subject). The psychologist must present adequate information to the other person such that he or she can understand and then decide whether to participate in that professional relationship. Three additional conditions must be met in order for informed consent to be legally valid:

  1. The information presented to the client must be easily able to be understood by the client.
  2. The client’s agreement to participate has to be voluntary.
  3. The client must be legally competent to give consent.

For this assignment, you explore informed consent considerations for populations that need specific protections. To prepare, select one of the following populations to use for this Discussion: minors, prisoners, inpatients, or individuals with cognitive impairments.

Write the name of the population you selected. Describe considerations relevant to this population that might affect informed consent. Include specific information you would and would not cover when reviewing the limits of confidentiality with a client from your chosen population.

From the talk and the arguments presented by Chimamanda, I agree with what she says about a single story about a group of people, and how it can leave a wrong impression for years. Over the years, Mexicans have been presented in popular media like a group of people whose only intention is to harm America. Despite owning sixty percent of world’s natural resources, Africans are seen as a bunch of poor people waiting to be saved from the catastrophes which have befallen them largely due to the views that have been published about them. Who will ever tell the full story? How will people ever get to know all the stories of others? Why are we so focused on publishing only a single story severally rather than getting all sides of others? These are the questions which I believe Chimamanda had to contend with before giving her presentation. Despite being Nigerian all that Chimamanda heard about Fide relates to poverty and being unable to afford food, until she gets to visit and learn something new about them. Chimamanda clearly explains the danger of a single story and does it exceptionally. It’s wrong to think that what we know about others is all that makes up them; rather, a lot need to be understood about others before we can tell their whole story. From the presentation, Chimamanda makes a true argument about the misconceptions that have been published about others and does it.

See the case in the back of the book. Case22 is on page 637 in the current edition. Use bullet points and one page to complete this assignment. Do a SWOT analysis first and then make a 4P recommendation based on your SWOT analysis.

For international, think globally. You may be able to solve the problem of the country by thinking outside of it. Also understand that the more you differentiate yourself for a local market, the higher your costs. The more you can make one product work for a global audience, the more you can take advantage of economies of scale.

competitive analysis

Part 1 of 2:

Prepare a 4 page competitive analysis by examining one to two competitors to your product or service. Identify the direct competition to your product or service and analyze their strategy, objectives, strengths, and weaknesses. Conduct a competitive analysis on both the industry and market of your chosen product or service. See the CLA 1 Part 1 of 2 GUIDE TO COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS. (Provide at least 2 references in addition to the textbook.)

Part 2 of 2:

Prepare a 3 to 4 page marketing strategy based on the elements of the 4 P’s used in your chosen product or service. Review the CLA 1 Part 2 of 2 GUIDE TO THE MARKETING MIX ANALYSIS, which can be found in the GAP portal in the course resources. Write about the product you selected in Week 2 ( I have chosen AT&T as my product in week 2) . The marketing mix is the 4 Ps (product, place, price, and promotion) and each element should be addressed in the report. You may use the “7 Ps” if applicable to your service selection.

Use sources in addition to your textbook, and provide citations. For example, reference The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and other major news/business publications that contain articles about your chosen product or service. Please make use of other business books and sources that deal specifically with your product, industry or market segment. Additionally, www.census.gov is a great resource for demographic information.

Need to write: Methodology and Research Strategy, Analysis and Findings, section and the Conclusions/Recommendations

Assignment Instructions

This assignment is the culmination of your crafting of a research paper on a homeland security issue. In Week Four you presented the first three sections of your paper. This week you add the final sections and present the full paper. Be sure to make any changes to your literature based on instructor feedback.

The three main sections you should add to the paper for this submission are the Methodology and Research Strategy, Analysis and Findings, section and theConclusions/Recommendations section.

Methodology and Research Strategy: This section provides the reader with a description of how you carried out your qualitative research project, and the variables you identified and analyzed. It describes any special considerations and defines any limitations and terms specific to this project, if necessary. This section can be brief or more complicated, depending on the project, written in 1-2 pages.

Analysis and findings are not the same as conclusions. In the analysis component of this section you identify how you analyzed the data. The second part is the finding you got from your analysis of the data. The findings are the facts that you developed, not your interpretation of the facts. That interpretation is conducted in the conclusions and recommendations section of the paper. Findings will come from the prior research you examined and your analysis of those prior findings to create new findings for your paper. While there may be some facts that are such that they will stand and translate to your paper, the intent is to create new knowledge, so you will normally analyze the data to create your own findings of what facts that data represents.

Conclusions and Recommendations is the section where you give your interpretation of the data. Here you tell the reader what the findings mean. Often the conclusions and recommendations sections will mirror the findings in construct as the researcher tells the reader what that researcher sees as the meaning of that data, their conclusions. Then, drawing on those conclusions, the researcher tells the reader what they believe needs to be done to solve/answer the research question. This section may include recognition of any needs for further research and then finishes with a traditional conclusion to the paper as a whole.

Remember, your paper should seek to answer a question that helps to solve the research puzzle you identified.
